Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced CVICU RN for a CV Thoracic Transplant ICU night shift position requiring Impella, IABP, and LVAD experience in Indianapolis, IN.

Details

• CV Thoracic Transplant ICU unit within a hospital setting
• Cares for both cardiac medical ICU patients and Cardiac/Thoracic/Vascular Surgery ICU patients
• Patient ratio of 2:1, including patients on devices such as Impella, IABP, LVAD, and NxStage
• Night shift: 19:00–07:30
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active IN or Compact RN license required
• Current certifications required: BLS (AHA) and ACLS (AHA)
• NIH Certification required (Group A updated yearly; Groups B–F updated every 2 years)
• Minimum 2 years of CVICU nursing experience
• Proficiency caring for both cardiac medical and cardiothoracic/vascular surgery ICU patients
• Impella, IABP, and LVAD experience required; NxStage experience preferred
• Must possess a US Social Security Number and provide a valid US home address
• Two professional references required
• Copy of Driver's License required for consideration
• License verification/Nursys required within 30 days prior to start

Additional Information

• Provide ICU-level nursing care to cardiac medical and cardiothoracic/vascular surgery patients
