Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced CVICU RN for a CV Thoracic Transplant ICU night shift position requiring Impella, IABP, and LVAD experience in Indianapolis, IN.
Details
- CV Thoracic Transplant ICU unit within a hospital setting
- Cares for both cardiac medical ICU patients and Cardiac/Thoracic/Vascular Surgery ICU patients
- Patient ratio of 2:1, including patients on devices such as Impella, IABP, LVAD, and NxStage
- Night shift: 19:00–07:30
- 13-week contract
Requirements
- Active IN or Compact RN license required
- Current certifications required: BLS (AHA) and ACLS (AHA)
- NIH Certification required (Group A updated yearly; Groups B–F updated every 2 years)
- Minimum 2 years of CVICU nursing experience
- Proficiency caring for both cardiac medical and cardiothoracic/vascular surgery ICU patients
- Impella, IABP, and LVAD experience required; NxStage experience preferred
- Must possess a US Social Security Number and provide a valid US home address
- Two professional references required
- Copy of Driver's License required for consideration
- License verification/Nursys required within 30 days prior to start

- Provide ICU-level nursing care to cardiac medical and cardiothoracic/vascular surgery patients
