Description

American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for an Operating Room position at a hospital in Summit, NJ, requiring at least 1 year of OR experience and an active NJ RN license.

Details

• Hospital-based Operating Room (OR) setting
• 12.5-hour day shifts, 7:00 AM – 8:00 PM, 3 days per week (37.5 hours/week)
• Surgical patient population spanning pediatric to geriatric age groups
• No on-call requirements
• May be required to float to a nearby sister hospital
• Epic EMR used for charting

Requirements

• Active NJ RN license (Standard or Compact) required
• Current BLS certification required
• CNOR certification preferred
• Minimum 1 year of OR nursing experience required
• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing required; Associate's or Bachelor's Degree preferred
• Epic EMR experience strongly preferred
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible for this travel position

• Delivers individualized perioperative patient care, including pre-operative and post-operative assessment and education
• Supports Pre-Admission Testing (PAT) by evaluating orders for appropriateness based on proposed surgery, patient age, and health status
• Follows National Patient Safety Goals including Universal Protocol and dual patient identification
• Two professional references required for consideration
• Travelers may remain on assignment for up to one calendar year from the initial start date; a break is required before returning to a new assignment
