Description
American Traveler is hiring a Cardiac Cath Lab / Rad Tech with required Cardiac Cath Lab and Interventional Radiology experience for a 4x10 day shift contract in Normal, IL.
Details
- Cardiac Catheterization and Special Procedures unit in an acute care hospital setting
- Patient population includes those requiring invasive cardiology or invasive radiology studies
- 4x10 hour day shifts from 7:30 AM to 6:00 PM
- On-call rotation includes every 3rd weekend and 1-2 weekdays per week
- Holidays covered via call rotation
- EMR: Epic charting experience required
Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of relevant Cath Lab or Interventional Radiology experience
- Associate's Degree in a related field OR Certificate in Radiologic Technology
- Required certifications: BLS and ACLS (American Heart Association), ARRT (Radiography), and IEMA Radiography License (Illinois)
- Epic EMR charting experience required
- Level 1 Trauma experience required
- License required if applicable
- Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible for this position
Additional Information
- Neuro Interventional and EP experience are preferred
- Responsibilities include assisting physicians during invasive procedures, administering contrast material via IV line or venipuncture, and assessing patients for allergies and hypersensitivity reactions
- Functions as both scrub and monitor technician on a rotating basis
- Demonstrates competence in imaging, physiological monitoring, and related equipment, including basic troubleshooting
- Candidate interviews are conducted by Carle Health leadership
- Candidates who have been on continuous assignment with Carle Health for 1 year must take a 6-month break before returning to any Carle Health location
- RTO not to exceed 7 days for the duration of the contract
- First-time travelers will not be considered for this position
