Description

American Traveler is hiring an Ultrasound Technologist for a General Sonography/Ultrasound position at a Level II Trauma teaching hospital, requiring 2+ years of experience and Epic proficiency.

Details

  • Short-term acute care hospital setting within a Level II Trauma, teaching facility with 209 staffed beds
  • General ultrasound/sonography unit with a 1:1 patient ratio
  • Travelers are expected to float between all facilities within the state
  • 4x10 hour day shifts, 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM
  • On-call required 1–3 nights per week
  • Weekend coverage required on an occasional basis (days or nights)
  • Charting is performed in Epic (experience required)

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in general ultrasound/sonography
  • Active professional license required if applicable
  • Epic EMR proficiency required
  • Current relevant certifications required (e.g., ARDMS or equivalent)
  • Current BLS required
  • At least 2 supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years in a comparable specialty or setting
  • SSN and DOB required for consideration

Additional Information

  • First-time travelers will be considered for this position
  • Former permanent staff must wait at least 3 months before returning as a traveler and must not reside within 50 miles of the facility
  • Scrubs are provided in sterile units (OR, ICU, ER, COVID); all other staff may wear any scrub color
  • Parking is provided at no cost
  • RTO should be minimal; all time-off requests must be disclosed prior to submission, as post-offer RTO requests may be denied
