Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Telemetry position at a Level III Trauma, Joint Commission-accredited community hospital in Lake Havasu City, AZ, requiring at least 2 years of RN experience and telemetry skills.
Details
- Medical/Surgical Telemetry unit in a 171-bed community hospital and regional referral center
- 40-bed unit serving an adult and geriatric patient population
- Patient types include total joint, surgical, ACS, CHF, CKD, alcohol withdrawal, SIRS, and GIB
- Patient ratio of 1:6
- Equipment includes Baxter IV pumps, Posey bed/chair alarms, Omnicell drug dispensing cabinet, and Zoll defibrillators
- EMR: Medhost
- Schedule: 3x12-hour day shifts (7:00 AM – 7:00 PM)
- 4 weekend shifts required per 4-week scheduling period
- Floating to other units, including IMC and ED, is expected
- No routine on-call scheduling, though shifts may occasionally be flexed to on-call as needed
Requirements
- Active AZ or Compact RN license required
- Current BLS and ACLS (AHA) certifications required
- Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
- Recent acute care experience required
- Telemetry experience required
- Prior travel nursing experience required
- Ability to manage a 1:6 patient ratio
- ADN or higher required
- Social Security number and date of birth required for consideration
- Candidates must reside more than 60 miles from the facility to qualify for travel rates

- Level III Trauma Center and Joint Commission-accredited facility
- Certified Chest Pain Center
- Charge nurse and preceptor experience is a plus
- Black scrubs (top and bottom) required; open-toe shoes are not permitted
- Candidates who have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months are not eligible
- Candidates may not be employed full-time elsewhere during the assignment
- Located in Lake Havasu City, AZ — near outdoor recreation, mountain scenery, and within driving distance of Las Vegas, Phoenix, and the Grand Canyon
