Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Medical/Surgical night shift position requiring at least 1 year of recent experience and an active NM or compact RN license.
Details
- 32-bed Medical/Surgical unit in an inpatient hospital setting
- Nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:6
- Rapid response team activation responsibilities
- Night shift schedule: 4x12-hour shifts (18:30–07:00)
- 36- or 48-hour weekly shift options available
- 6 weekend shifts required within every 6-week period
- No on-call requirements
- Floating to like units required
- Epic used for charting
Requirements
- Active NM or compact RN license required
- Current BLS certification required
- Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) certification preferred
- Minimum 1 year of recent Med/Surg RN experience required
- Epic charting experience preferred
Additional Information
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply
- Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible
- Former permanent staff must have been separated from the facility for at least 1 year before being considered as a traveler
- Travel pairs or groups will not be considered
- Up to 3 days of RTO may be approved; no RTO is permitted during the first week of orientation
- 2 professional references from a supervisor within the past 2 years are required for consideration
