Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Medical ICU (MICU) travel position requiring ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications with a minimum of 1-2 years of ICU experience.
Details
- Work in the Medical ICU (MICU) of an acute care hospital
- Day shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts (6:45 AM - 7:15 PM)
- Floating required
- 13-week contract
Requirements
- Active RN license (Standard or Compact) required
- Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS
- Minimum 1-2 years of ICU nursing experience required
- Previous travel nursing experience preferred
- Epic EMR experience preferred
- 2 professional references from a supervisor within the past 2 years required for consideration
Additional Information
- Coordinate and deliver comprehensive nursing care for ICU patients through assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure effective patient care delivery and achievement of desired outcomes
- Conduct discharge planning and patient/family education regarding illness and injury prevention
- Delegate tasks to unlicensed personnel in compliance with the Board of Nursing
- Navy scrubs required
- Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible
- Former permanent staff must have been separated for at least 1 year before being considered as a traveler
- No more than 3 days of RTO will be auto-approved; no RTO during the first week of orientation
- No travel pairs or groups accepted
