Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Surgical ICU (SICU) position requiring a minimum of 2 years of experience and Epic proficiency, working night shifts with every-other-weekend requirements.

Details

Works in a Surgical ICU (SICU) within a hospital setting
Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts (19:00–07:00)
Every other weekend (EOW) required
May float to all ICU floors
No on-call requirements
Epic EMR experience required
May care for COVID-positive patients
Holiday coverage required on an as-needed basis

Requirements

Active PA RN license or Compact RN license currently in hand
Current certifications: BLS and ACLS
Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
Epic EMR proficiency required
Surgical ICU or comparable critical care experience required

Additional Information

Candidates undergo a clinical pre-screen to assess clinical fit prior to manager review; a manager interview is required
This is a tobacco-free and fragrance-free facility
Maximum of 7 days of time off (RTO) permitted during the contract
2 professional supervisory references from within the past 2 years required for consideration
Full 7-year work history with all gaps explained required for consideration
All time-off and scheduling requests must be submitted at the time of initial consideration

Loved the people! Found them really easy to work with and they have a lot of very knowledgeable staff members. As long as you know what you’re doing and willing to help out in any way they are more than happy to work with you!

Cons

Sometimes the schedule can be confusing with rotating shifts and call schedules that don’t align well with your scheduled shifts. But again if there is a major concern they’ll try and work with you on it!
