Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Pediatric ICU (PICU) position at a children's hospital, requiring PICU experience and Epic proficiency on a night shift schedule.

Details

  • Pediatric intensive care unit (PICU) setting within a children's hospital
  • Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts (19:00–07:30)
  • Minimum of every 3rd weekend required, with occasional additional weekend shifts to balance the schedule
  • Epic EMR experience required
  • Floating within the unit and across the health system is required — refusal to float as requested may result in contract cancellation
  • Mandatory low census cancellations may occur up to one shift per two-week pay period; cancellations must be called no later than 1.5 hours before shift start
  • 13-week minimum contract length with the option for a longer assignment

Requirements

  • Active Oregon (OR) RN license required; must have applied and submitted fingerprints to the Board of Nursing
  • Current certifications: BLS and PALS
  • Minimum 1 year of PICU experience required
  • Epic EMR experience required
  • COVID vaccination required — no exemptions accepted

Additional Information

  • Randall Children's Hospital is a Magnet-recognized children's facility
  • Scrubs of any color are permitted except black and camouflage
  • Parking is free in any unrestricted space
  • All assigned education modules must be completed within one week of starting the assignment
  • Candidates may indicate a preference for 36 or 48 hours per week where applicable
