Description

American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Level I Trauma ICU position in Tyler, TX, requiring Epic experience and a minimum of 2 years of ICU experience.

Details

  • Level I Trauma ICU in an acute care hospital setting
  • 16-bed unit with 14 rooms
  • Patient ratio of 1:2
  • Day shift, 3x12-hour shifts (7:00 AM - 7:00 PM)
  • Floating may be required to ICU, IMC, and Telemetry units as needed
  • Charting performed in Epic (experience required)

Requirements

  • Active TX RN license or compact RN license currently in hand
  • Minimum of 2 years of ICU experience required
  • Required certifications: BLS and ACLS
  • NIHSS certification required; PALS and TNCC preferred
  • Epic EMR experience required
  • Prior travel nursing experience preferred
  • Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible
  • Candidates residing in the following TX counties are not eligible: Henderson, Anderson, Cherokee, Rusk, Panola, Smith, Gregg, Van Zandt, Wood, Upshur, Camp, Hopkins, Franklin, Titus, and Morris
  • Two professional references from a supervisor within the past 2 years required for consideration

Additional Information

  • Travel pairs or groups will not be considered for this position
  • Former permanent staff must have been separated from the facility for at least 1 year before returning as a traveler
  • No more than 3 days of RTO will be auto-approved; no RTO during the first week of orientation
  • First-time traveler eligibility — check with your recruiter for details
