Description
American Traveler is hiring a Nuclear Medicine Technologist with 3+ years of experience, ARRT(N) or CNMT/NMTCB certification, and Cerner proficiency for a 13-week travel contract in California.
Details
- Nuclear Medicine department within an acute care hospital setting
- 4x10 hour day shifts with variable start times between 8:00 AM and 6:30 PM
- Scheduling flexibility is required; no blocked or self-scheduling
- Research PET scans are performed using investigational ligands with scheduling dependent on isotope availability
Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years of Nuclear Medicine Technologist experience, including at least 1 year in an acute care setting
- At least 1 year of full-time equivalent experience in Nuclear Medicine within the past 2 years
- ARRT(N), CNMT, or NMTCB certification required
- Active, valid CA state license required; license required if applicable
- Current BLS required
- Cerner EMR experience required
- ARRT(R) and PET experience preferred
- CT certification is not required
Additional Information
- First-time travelers will be considered for this position
- Local candidates are accepted
- No RTO permitted within the first 2 weeks of the assignment; any RTO requests must be submitted at the time of initial consideration
- Candidates who have previously worked at this facility must have been gone for at least 1 year before returning as a traveler
- A pass/fail EKG exam is required (up to 3 attempts allowed)
- At least one supervisory, director, or manager reference from within the past year is required; a second reference within the past 2 years from a charge nurse, coworker, or educator is also required
