Description
American Traveler is seeking a travel RN for a Medical Surgical Neuro unit position requiring community hospital experience and a TN or compact RN license.
Details
- Medical Surgical Neuro unit in a community hospital setting
- Patient ratio of 1:7
- Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts (18:30–07:00)
- 36-hour weekly work commitment
- Every other weekend required
- No on-call responsibilities
- Floating to other units required
- AHA BLS required; NIHSS certification preferred
Requirements
- Active TN or compact RN license required at time of consideration
- AHA BLS certification required (AHA-issued only)
- NIHSS certification preferred
- Minimum 1 year of RN experience required
- Community hospital experience required
- Two supervisory references from within the past 2 years required for consideration
Additional Information
- Orientation begins on Sundays with online computer-based learning (CBLs)
- Contract RNs are expected to actively support nursing student education and clinical learning alongside their regular patient care responsibilities
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply
- Candidates must reside at least 100 miles from the facility to be eligible — local candidates are not accepted
