Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a PCU Float position requiring a minimum of 2 years of experience and a willingness to float primarily to Med Surg.

Details

• Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Float position in a hospital setting, primarily supporting Med Surg
• Day shift schedule, 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM, on an alternating 36/48-hour weekly schedule (straight 48s may also be considered)
• 84 hours biweekly
• Weekend availability required, which may include most weekends during the contract
• Block scheduling may be accommodated, but set schedules cannot be approved
• Floating is a core requirement of this role
• Epic EMR experience strongly preferred

Requirements

• Active TX RN license or compact RN license currently in hand
• Current BLS certification required
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• Prior travel nursing experience required
• Must be willing to float, primarily to Med Surg
• 2 supervisory references from within the last 3 years of employment required for consideration

Additional Information

• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible — local candidates are not accepted
• The facility conducts its own drug screen upon arrival, including testing for marijuana; a positive result results in automatic cancellation with no exceptions — candidates should avoid all substances that could produce a positive result, including CBD products, prior to and during the assignment
