Description

American Traveler is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) with at least 1 year of experience for a night shift position at a hospital-based respiratory therapy department in Golden, CO.

• Hospital-based Respiratory Therapy department
• Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts per week (36 hours/week)
• Floating to other departments may be required based on business need
• On-call during regularly scheduled shifts may be required
• Epic EMR used for charting
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Graduate of an NBRC-accredited Respiratory Therapist program required
• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential from the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC) required
• Active Colorado Respiratory Therapy license (DORA) required — license required if applicable
• Minimum 1 year of respiratory therapy experience required
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications (AHA) required — must not expire prior to start
• DOB and last 4 digits of SSN required for consideration
• 2 professional references required for consideration

Additional Information

• Provides advanced-level respiratory care including diagnostic testing, arterial blood gas collection, ventilator management, and medication administration
• Acts as a resource, mentor, and consultant to CRT staff and other clinical team members
• Communicates patient progress and recommendations to physicians, nurses, and other departments
• Participates in quality improvement, patient safety initiatives, and departmental meetings
• Educates patients and families on self-care techniques and health promotion
• Former permanent staff must have been separated from any Intermountain facility for at least 1 year to be eligible for a travel assignment
