Description
American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for an Adult ICU/CCU position in Lander, WY, requiring a minimum of 2 years of recent ICU experience and active ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications.
Details
- Hospital-based CCU/ICU unit caring for adult critical care patients including those with heart attack, stroke, shock, severe trauma, and respiratory distress
- Occasional care of pediatric and adolescent patients, as the facility does not have a dedicated pediatric unit
- Pre- and post-operative patient care may be required
- Day shift: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM
- Every other weekend required
- Floating between two campuses (Lander and Riverton) may be required based on census
- 13-week contract
Requirements
- Active WY RN license or compact multi-state RN license currently in hand
- Minimum 2 years of recent ICU/critical care RN experience in a hospital setting
- Required certifications (must be through the American Heart Association): BLS, ACLS, and PALS/ENPC
- TNCC preferred but not required
- RQI and RCIS certifications are not accepted for BLS or ACLS
- No certification expiring within the first 30 days of the assignment start date
- SSN and date of birth required for consideration
Additional Information
- Responsibilities include assessing patient conditions, developing and implementing care plans, administering IV fluids and medications, managing ventilators and IABP, suctioning, wound care, and advanced life support
- Collaborates with the critical care team and responds to life-saving situations using nursing standards and protocols
- Serves as a patient advocate and provides education and support to patient families
- No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
- Candidates living within 50 miles of the facility are considered local and subject to a reduced pay rate
