Description

American Traveler is hiring a Travel RN for an Emergency Dept - Nights position requiring 2+ years of ER experience and at least 2 completed travel assignments.

Details

• Emergency Department setting with 29 beds plus 8 hallway beds
• Patient ratio of 1:4
• Night shift schedule (7p-7a) with block scheduling attempted while meeting weekend requirements
• No call requirements
• No floating requirements
• Cerner EMR used, experience preferred

Requirements

• Active GA or compact RN license required
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, and ESI Level 5 training required
• TNCC certification preferred
• 2+ years of recent ER experience required
• At least 2 previously completed travel assignments required
• Certifications must not expire within the first 30 days of assignment start
• No employment gaps of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
• Valid driver's license and US SSN required for consideration

Additional Information

• Provide shift-based nursing care to Emergency Department patients using the nursing process of assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation
• Demonstrate critical thinking and leadership in planning safe patient care delivery
• Delegate patient care priorities and provide direction and supervision to assigned staff
• Collaborate with other disciplines to ensure effective patient care delivery and desired outcomes
• Navy scrub color required
• Holiday coverage required for one major and one minor holiday
• RTO requests must be less than one week and no maximum RTO limit as long as FTE and weekend requirements are met
• Candidates must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility; local travelers not accepted
• Candidates who worked as permanent staff at this health system within the past 2 years will not be considered
