Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced OR RN for a Urology/Gynecology Surgery position requiring an active FL or compact RN license and at least 1 year of OR experience.
Details
- Located in a hospital-based Urology/Gynecology Surgery OR within the Surgical Services division
- 10-hour shifts, Monday–Friday, 6:45 AM–5:15 PM
- On-call required
- 40 hours per week
- 13-week contract
- Epic EMR used; prior EMR experience preferred
- On-site only; no remote or telework options
Requirements
- Active FL or compact RN license required — no pending licenses accepted
- BLS certification required (AHA or American Red Cross)
- Minimum 1 year of OR experience in the specialty required
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program required
- Associate degree RNs with an RN start date of April 1, 2020 or later must provide documented evidence of BSN completion within 5 years of their RN start date
- Strong critical thinking, communication, and leadership skills required
- Ability to adapt to unpredictable situations and flexible scheduling needs
- Two professional references including facility name, supervisor name, and supervisor phone number required for consideration
- Date of birth required for consideration
- COVID vaccination and booster required for consideration
Additional Information
- Responsible for coordinating all phases of nursing care including planning, implementation, evaluation, and communication for assigned patients
- Provides patient and family education and supports care transitions
- Delegates patient care tasks based on skill level, acuity, and available resources
- May serve in a preceptor or informal leadership role and participate in quality improvement initiatives
- Travelers who have completed one continuous calendar year on assignment must take a 30–60 day break before beginning a new assignment
- This role is eligible for TN visa sponsorship; F-1 OPT holders are welcome to apply, though F-1 STEM OPT extension is not eligible — sponsorship requires state licensure and completion of VisaScreen or equivalent certification
