Description

American Traveler is hiring a travel RN Case Manager for a Hospice/Palliative Care position in the Arlington, VA area, requiring a minimum of 1 year of recent hospice experience and an active VA or compact RN license.

Details

Home hospice setting operating out of a hub/office in the Arlington, VA area
Specialty focus on geriatric end-of-life care
Caseload of approximately 5–7 patients per day
Day shift schedule, 5x8-hour shifts (8:00 AM – 5:00 PM)
No on-call requirements
Territory coverage of up to a 60-mile radius from the hub/office — flexibility with territory is expected
EMR: Netsmart
iPad provided for charting and field use

Requirements

Active VA or compact RN license currently in hand
Current BLS certification required
Minimum 1 year of recent hospice or palliative care RN experience
Experience with Netsmart EMR preferred

Additional Information

Role functions as an RN Case Manager providing field-based hospice care to patients in their homes
Timely documentation and communication are essential responsibilities of this role
Scrubs required in any color; jeans are not permitted
Personal cell phone is not required for this role; an iPad is provided
Mileage reimbursed at the IRS standard rate
Local candidates are accepted and eligible for the travel pay rate
Two professional references from a supervisor within the past 2 years are required for consideration
All time-off requests must be submitted at the time of initial application
