Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Surgical ICU travel assignment requiring at least 2 years of ICU experience and active RN licensure.

Details

• Position is in a 16-bed Surgical ICU currently expanding to an 18-bed state-of-the-art unit
• Patient population includes kidney transplants, complex spinal surgeries, neck resections (Liu and Mons), thoracotomies, Whipple procedures, and other complex general surgeries
• Night shift: 18:30–07:00
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active RN license (Compact or Oklahoma state license) currently in hand
• BLS certification required (must be AHA-issued)
• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification required
• Minimum 2 years of ICU experience required
• Must possess a valid US Social Security Number and a US home address
• Driver's license required for consideration
• Two professional references required for consideration

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include implementing and monitoring patient care plans, coordinating multidisciplinary care, and carrying out physician and nursing orders
• Discharge planning coordination with the healthcare team is an expected part of the role
• Role requires critical thinking, decisive judgment, and the ability to work independently in a high-stress environment
• Standard precautions and appropriate PPE use are required
• Local candidates within the state-defined radius may be considered but may be subject to a reduced pay rate
• COVID vaccination is not required
