Description
American Traveler is seeking a Physical Therapist with outpatient experience for a 13-week assignment at an outpatient clinic located within a hospital in Maine.
Details
- Outpatient PT setting located within a hospital, with occasional coverage needs for ED consults, day surgery, or inpatient patients
- Primary patient population includes general outpatient and post-op orthopedic cases
- Average patient load of 10–15 patients per day, subject to change
- Schedule is Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM; no weekends or on-call required
- The rehab department closes on 6 major holidays (New Year's Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas Day); all other holidays are worked as scheduled
- EMR: Cerner
- 13-week contract
Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of outpatient PT experience required
- ME state license or compact license required (license required if applicable)
- Current BLS certification required
- Full SSN required for consideration
- Driver's license required for consideration
- 2 references within the past year required for consideration, at least one from a supervisor, manager, director, or charge nurse (peer references not accepted)
- Copies of all certifications required for consideration
- Flu vaccination required for eligibility; medical exemptions only, subject to facility approval
- Candidates must have a permanent address 100+ miles south/southwest of the facility in Bangor, ME
- Candidates must not have previously worked at any Northern Light Health Hospital in a permanent capacity
Additional Information
- Department is currently staffed with 3 PTs and 1 PTA
- Orientation is 3–4 days, dependent on skillset and comfort level
- All RTO requests require manager approval
- Business casual or scrubs are accepted attire
- Free parking is available on-site
