Description
American Traveler is seeking a chemo-certified RN for an Oncology Infusion Clinic position requiring ONS/ONCC Chemotherapy Immunotherapy certification and at least one year of chemotherapy experience.
Details
- Outpatient oncology infusion clinic setting serving adult patients
- Day shift with shifts varying between 8 and 12 hours per day, 40 hours per week
- Clinic operates 7 days per week; must be willing to work weekends and holidays
- 13-week travel contract
Requirements
- Active RN license (Oklahoma state license or eNLC compact license) currently in hand
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications from the American Heart Association (AHA) required
- ONS Fundamentals of Chemotherapy Immunotherapy Administration certificate required
- ONS/ONCC Chemotherapy Immunotherapy Certificate required
- Minimum of 1 year of chemotherapy experience required
- Associate's Degree in Nursing (ADN) from an accredited program required; BSN preferred
- Proficiency in IV infusion, medication administration, and physiological monitoring
- Full DOB and full SSN required for consideration
Additional Information
- Administers PO, SC injections, chemotherapy drugs, and other medications as ordered; consults with medical personnel regarding chemotherapy protocols and side effects
- Monitors and documents patient physiological data, responses to nursing interventions, and changes in physician orders
- Initiates, regulates, and monitors IV infusions and blood products
- Provides chemotherapy-related patient and family education and answers related inquiries
- Coordinates follow-up care including scheduling, referrals, and post-visit phone triage
- Delegates tasks to support staff as appropriate
- Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible; local candidates will not be considered
- Travelers who have previously worked at this facility may only extend once, for a total of 26 weeks; a 6-month separation is required before reapplying after that period
- Compliance with onboarding requirements (background check, drug screen, medical requirements) must begin immediately upon offer acceptance; compliance deadlines are strictly enforced and non-negotiable
