Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery position at a children's hospital, with Epic EMR experience required and first-time travelers welcome to apply.
Details
- Labor & Delivery unit within a children's hospital (Level II Pediatric Trauma Center, 181 staffed beds)
- Patient ratios of 1:1 to 1:2
- Day shift, 3x12-hour shifts (11:00–23:30)
- 6 weekend shifts required per 6-week schedule
- No on-call or block scheduling required
- No floating between units within this assignment; however, travelers may be expected to float between facilities within the state
- Epic EMR experience required
Requirements
- Active TX RN license or compact RN license currently in hand
- Current BLS certification required
- Minimum 2 years of L&D RN experience required
- Epic EMR proficiency required
- At least 2 supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years in a comparable specialty/setting
- SSN and DOB required for consideration
- Active professional license at time of consideration
Additional Information
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply
- Navy scrubs required for RNs
- Free parking available in any unrestricted space; bike racks also available
- Former permanent staff must wait at least 3 months before returning as a traveler and must not reside within 50 miles of the facility
- Minimal RTO is expected; all RTO requests must be submitted upfront, as post-offer requests may be denied
- Refusal to float between facilities within the state may result in assignment termination
