Description

American Traveler is hiring a Cath Lab / EP Technologist for a 13-week assignment at a 599-bed short-term acute care teaching hospital, requiring 2+ years of experience and proficiency in complex cardiac and peripheral procedures.

Details

• Work in a cardiac cath lab at a 599-bed short-term acute care teaching hospital
• Diagnoses include chest pain, NSTEMI, STEMI, valve disease, and pulmonary hypertension
• Procedures include left/right heart catheterization, CTO, complex PCI, peripheral and complex peripheral interventions, balloon angioplasty, stent placement, thrombectomy, Impella insertion, and carotid stenting
• Cerner EMR (experience preferred)
• 4x10 hour day shifts, 7:00 AM – 5:30 PM
• On-call required, typically 7–9 call shifts per month including approximately 1 weekend call shift per 4-week schedule
• Weekend work required
• No floating within the facility or to sister facilities

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of cardiac cath lab experience required
• Experience with balloon angioplasty, PCI, stents, thrombectomy, Impella insertion, left heart catheterization, right heart catheterization, and rotablator required
• EKG skills required
• Scrubbing skills required
• BLS, ACLS, ARRT or RCIS certification required
• FL license required if applicable
• Pending state license not accepted
• COVID-19 vaccination required (medical and religious exemptions accepted)
• First-time travelers will not be considered for this position

• 2 professional references from a supervisor within the past 2 years required for consideration

• Work environment is a teaching hospital setting with a complex cardiac and peripheral vascular caseload
• Red scrubs required
• No RTO allowed during the contract; any RTO requests may be discussed during the interview process
