Description
American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for an ICU position in Lake Havasu City, AZ, requiring a minimum of 2 years of experience and prior travel nursing experience.
Details
- Night shift position, 7PM–7AM, 3x12-hour shifts per week
- 16-bed blended ICU/CVICU unit within a 171-bed community hospital and regional referral center
- Adult and geriatric patient population
- Patient ratio of 1:2
- Common diagnoses and treatments include STEMI, NSTEMI, COPD exacerbation, sepsis, CABG, valve repair/replacement, acute respiratory failure, A-fib RVR, ETOH withdrawal, head injury, overdose, stroke, trauma, CRRT, TCAR, and TVAR
- Baxter infusion pumps utilized on the unit
- Medhost EHR system in use
- Every other weekend requirement
- On-call responsibilities required
- Floating may be required to the Intermediate Care Unit (as primary RN) and the ED for admitted patients holding, on an as-needed basis
- 13-week contract
Requirements
- Active AZ RN license or compact RN license required
- Current AHA certifications required: BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS)
- Minimum 2 years of ICU experience required
- Prior travel nursing experience required
- SSN and date of birth required for consideration
Additional Information
- CVICU experience is a plus but not required
- Facility is Joint Commission accredited, Level III Trauma Center, and a Certified Chest Pain Center
- Orientation is provided on a weekly basis
- Travelers are permitted one call-out per contract; a second call-out requires documentation and is reviewed on a case-by-case basis
- Candidates must reside more than 60 miles from the facility to qualify for the travel pay rate
- Candidates must not have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months
- Candidates may not be employed full-time elsewhere during the assignment
- Located in Lake Havasu City, AZ — approximately 2.5 hours from Las Vegas, 3.25 hours from Phoenix, 3.5 hours from the Grand Canyon, and 5 hours from Los Angeles or San Diego
