Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Critical Care Float Pool ICU position requiring a minimum of 2 years of ICU experience and Epic proficiency for night shift weekend coverage.

Details

• Critical Care Float Pool position within a large academic hospital system
• Nurses float across multiple ICU units based on staffing and patient acuity, including Neuro ICU, Surgical ICU, Medical ICU (MICU), Cardiology/Diagnostics, CVICU, SICU, and NCCU
• Floating is required within units of equivalent or lower acuity
• Schedule: 3x12-hour night shifts (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM), weekend nights (Friday/Saturday) plus one additional day
• Epic EMR proficiency required

Requirements

• Active OH or Compact RN license required
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of ICU experience required
• Proficiency with Epic EMR required
• IV start, telemetry, and ventilator management experience required
• 2 professional references required: at least 1 must be from a Manager, Director, or Supervisor; a Charge RN is acceptable as the second reference; no coworker references accepted

Additional Information

• Local candidates are accepted at the same rate as travelers
• Former facility employees are eligible for a travel assignment after a minimum 6-month separation from the facility
• Requested time off (RTO) must be submitted at the time of consideration and is limited to 7 days or fewer for the contract duration
• Ohio state fingerprinting is required and must be completed promptly after booking — candidates outside Ohio will need to travel to an Ohio fingerprinting location or receive a mailed fingerprinting packet to complete urgently upon receipt
• 13-week contract
