Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a PCU (Progressive Care Unit) position in Ohio, requiring 2+ years of experience, ACLS certification, and an active OH or compact RN license.

Details

• Work in a 31-bed mixed acuity PCU at a large academic medical center in Ohio
• Unit primarily supports medicine services, caring for stepdown and med/surg patients
• Night shift: 3x12-hour shifts, 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
• Epic used for documentation; Omnicell for medication management
• Floating required within the health system as needed
• Local candidates are accepted

Requirements

• Active OH or compact RN license required
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of PCU or stepdown nursing experience
• Proficiency with CPAP/BiPAP and medication titrations required
• Must be charge-capable on nights
• 2 professional references required: at least 1 from a Manager, Director, or formal leadership role (e.g., Supervisor); a Charge RN is acceptable as the 2nd reference — no coworker references accepted

• Former employees of this facility are eligible after a 6-month separation period
• RTO must be requested at time of submission and is limited to 7 days or fewer for the contract period
• Ohio state fingerprinting is required and must be initiated promptly after booking — candidates outside Ohio should plan to travel to a fingerprinting location in Ohio or complete a mailed fingerprinting packet as soon as possible upon receipt
• Multiple parking permit options are available for agency staff near the medical center, ranging from a budget shuttle-based option to a guaranteed on-site garage permit
