Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced Float Pool M/S Telemetry RN for a night shift, every-other-weekend position requiring willingness to float across multiple units and prior travel nursing experience.

Details

• Float pool position covering 8 different Med/Surg Telemetry areas within the hospital
• Units include Davenport 5, Davenport 7, Davenport 8, Davenport 9, ED, PH6/7, Pingree 4, and Overflow
• Care for ED border patients, serve as medication nurse in the acute mental health unit, and care for non-vented, transfer-ready ICU patients
• Facility bed count is 371 with unit census ranging from 8 to 41 beds
• Clinician to patient ratio up to 5:1 on days/evenings and up to 6:1 on nights
• 36-hour night shift schedule (19:00-07:30) with every other weekend required
• Days/evenings rotation includes 1 to 3 rotations to nights per contract
• 13-week assignment length
• Uses EPIC EMR for charting

Requirements

• Active Massachusetts RN license required (no conditional licenses accepted)
• AHA BLS certification required
• AHA ACLS certification required
• 2 years of acute care hospital experience in one location required
• 2 years of experience working as a Traveler required
• Telemetry monitoring experience including measuring intervals and interpreting strips every 4 hours
• TR Band experience required
• Must be able to perform cardiac drips and read tele strips
• Flu vaccine required during flu season with no religious or medical exemptions allowed
