Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced M/S Tele Float Pool RN for a Massachusetts hospital, requiring an active MA RN license and float flexibility across multiple units.

Details

• Float pool position covering 8 different Med/Surg Telemetry units, including Davenport 5, 7, 8, and 9, the ED, PH6/7, Pingree 4, and Overflow
• Care for ED border patients, serve as medication nurse in the acute mental health unit, and care for non-vented, transfer-ready ICU patients
• Facility has a total bed count of 371, with individual units ranging from 8 to 41 beds
• Clinician to patient ratios are up to 5:1 for days and evenings and up to 6:1 for nights
• Night shift schedule (19:00-07:30) with every other weekend required
• Rotation to days/evenings required, with 1 to 3 rotations to nights per contract
• Uses EPIC EMR for charting
• 13-week assignment length

Requirements

• Active Massachusetts RN license required (no conditional licenses accepted)
• Current AHA BLS certification required
• AHA ACLS certification preferred
• Minimum 2 years of acute care hospital experience in one location required
• Minimum 2 years of experience working as a traveler required
• Telemetry monitoring skills required, including measuring intervals and interpreting strips every 4 hours
• TR Band experience required
• Must be able to perform cardiac drips and read tele strips
• Flu vaccine required during flu season with no religious or medical exemptions

• Responsible for cardiac monitoring, cardiac drips, and reading telemetry strips
• Must be willing to float to 8 different Med/Surg Telemetry units within the hospital
