Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced Float Pool RN with telemetry skills for a night shift position requiring 2 years of acute care and travel nursing experience, and an active MA RN license.

Details

• Float Pool position requiring willingness to float between 8 different Med/Surg Telemetry units throughout the hospital (Davenport 5, Davenport 7, Davenport 8, Davenport 9, ED, PH6/7, Pingree 4, and Overflow)
• Patient population includes ED border patients, medication nurse duties in the acute mental health unit, and care for non-vented transfer-ready ICU patients
• Patient ratios: up to 5:1 on days/evenings and up to 6:1 on nights
• Hospital has 371 beds; individual units range from 8 to 41 beds
• Night shift: 19:00–07:30, every other weekend (EOW) required
• 1 to 3 rotation shifts to days/evenings per contract
• 13-week contract
• Charting system: Epic
• Free on-site parking available

Requirements

• Active MA RN license required — no pending or conditional MA licenses accepted
• Current AHA BLS and AHA ACLS certifications required (AHA only; Red Cross, CHSF, or Military not accepted at this facility)
• Minimum 2 years of acute care hospital experience in a single location
• Minimum 2 years of prior travel nursing experience
• Telemetry skills required: measuring intervals, interpreting tele strips every 4 hours, and administering cardiac drips
• TR Band experience required
• 2 references required for consideration
• Flu vaccine required with no religious or medical exemptions

• Responsibilities include cardiac monitoring, administration of cardiac drips, and interpretation of telemetry strips
• Timekeeping system: UKG/Kronos
