Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Progressive Care Unit (PCU) position in Ohio, requiring an active OH or compact RN license and a minimum of 2 years of clinical nursing experience.

Details

• Progressive Care Unit (PCU) in a hospital setting
• Day shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts (7:00 AM – 7:30 PM)
• Weekday and some weekend shifts required
• Floating to lower acuity units may be required
• Epic EMR used; experience preferred

Requirements

• Active Ohio RN license or compact RN license currently in hand
• Minimum 2 years of clinical nursing experience required
• Required certifications: BLS and IV certification
• Strong communication, critical thinking, and multitasking skills
• 2 professional references required: at least 1 from a Manager, Director, or formal leadership role (e.g., Supervisor); a Charge RN is acceptable as the 2nd reference; co-worker references are not accepted

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include IV insertion and management, medication administration, vital sign monitoring, patient education, and care team collaboration
• Ohio fingerprinting is required and must be completed promptly after signing a contract — candidates outside Ohio should be prepared to travel to an in-state fingerprinting location or complete a mailed packet as quickly as possible upon receipt
• Local candidates are accepted
• Former facility employees are eligible to return after a minimum 6-month separation period
• Requested time off (RTO) must be submitted at time of consideration and cannot exceed 7 days
• Travel experience is a plus; first-time travelers may be considered
