Description

American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Med/Surg Telemetry position requiring a minimum of 2 years of experience and an active WV or compact RN license.

Details

• MS/Tele unit within an acute care hospital setting
• Patient ratios of 1:5 to 1:6 (may fluctuate with census)
• Meditech EMR
• Day shift, 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM, on a rotating 36/48 schedule (alternating 3x12 and 4x12 weeks)
• Every other weekend required
• Floating required within scope of practice
• Blocked scheduling cannot be accommodated

Requirements

• Active WV or compact RN license required
• Current AHA BLS, AHA ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of current MS/Tele RN experience required
• Driver's license required, must match permanent address
• 2 professional references required: at least 1 charge nurse or higher and 1 supervisor, both completed within the last year
• Middle name required for consideration (confirmation needed if none exists)

Additional Information

• This is an expanding unit
• Candidates must reside more than 75 miles from the facility — local candidates are not eligible
• Orientation is held on a bi-weekly basis
• Up to 7 days of RTO may be considered; RTO must be submitted upfront and no changes will be accepted after submission
• Must be willing to work either a major or minor holiday each assignment
• Travelers who have worked within the ARH system for one year must take a minimum 6-month break before being eligible to return
• Travel pairs are accepted on a limited basis; pairs will not be placed on the same shift or unit
