Description
American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for an Operating Room position at a Level I Trauma hospital in Boston, requiring extensive surgical subspecialty experience including kidney transplant, neuro, spine, ortho trauma, and robotics.
Details
- 13-week assignment, night shift (12-hour shifts)
- Orientation week is scheduled on day shift (7a–3:30p); weeks with a holiday are scheduled as four 10-hour shifts (7a–5:30p)
- Located in a West Main OR consisting of 10 operating rooms at a Level I Trauma inpatient surgical facility
- Surgical specialties include bariatric, neurosurgery, ENT (primarily head & neck), orthopedic trauma, spine, major plastic reconstruction, robotic surgery, kidney transplants, liver transplants, GYN, urology, and organ procurement
- Candidates must be able to scrub and/or circulate across multiple specialties
- No on-call requirements for night shift travelers
- Holiday coverage is required for any holidays that fall within the contract period
- Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible for this position
Requirements
- Active MA RN license currently in hand
- Current BLS certification required
- Minimum experience required in kidney transplant, neuro, spine, ortho trauma, and robotics
- Demonstrated ability to scrub and/or circulate in general surgery, robotics, transplant, ortho, neuro, spine, ENT, GYN, urology, and trauma cases
- Experience in a Level I Trauma OR setting required
- COVID vaccine and booster required (medical exemptions accepted)
- Flu vaccine required during flu season (medical exemptions accepted)
Additional Information
- Orientation is held weekly, every Monday (excluding holidays)
- All RTO requests must be submitted at the time of consideration
- Any previous employees (travel, permanent, or per diem) of any Beth Israel Lahey Health facility must have a minimum 6-month break before being considered for this role
- Parking in the area can cost up to $43/day for day shifts and approximately $5/night for night shifts
- Local candidates (residing within 50 miles of the facility) are not eligible for this position
