Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Neuro ICU travel position in Ohio, requiring a minimum of 2 years of Neuro ICU experience and AHA-certified BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications.

• 13-week travel contract in a hospital Neuro ICU setting
• Day shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM–7:30 PM
• Patient ratio of approximately 1:1–2
• On-call is required for this position
• Floating required within units of equivalent or lower acuity
• EMR: Epic (experience required)
• Local candidates are accepted

Requirements

• Active Ohio or Compact RN license required at time of consideration
• Current AHA certifications required: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS
• Minimum 2 years of Neuro ICU experience required
• Proficiency with IV starts, telemetry monitoring, ventilator management, and intracranial pressure (ICP) monitoring
• 2 professional references required: at least 1 must be from a Manager, Director, or formal leadership role (e.g., Supervisor); a Charge RN is acceptable as the second reference; co-worker references are not accepted
• Previous travel nursing experience preferred

Additional Information

• Ohio state fingerprinting is required and must be completed promptly after accepting an offer — candidates outside Ohio will need to travel to an Ohio fingerprinting location or complete a mailed fingerprinting packet upon receipt
• Former employees of the facility are eligible after a minimum 6-month separation from the facility
• Requested time off (RTO) must be submitted at time of consideration and is limited to 7 days or fewer for the contract period
