Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Neuro ICU travel assignment in Ohio, requiring a minimum of 2 years of Neuro ICU experience and AHA-certified credentials including ACLS and NIHSS.

Details

• 13-week travel assignment in a hospital Neuro ICU setting
• Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
• Patient ratio of approximately 1:1–2
• On-call is required for this position
• Floating required to units of equivalent or lower acuity
• Proficiency with Epic EMR required
• Skills required include IV start, telemetry, ventilator management, and intracranial pressure (ICP) monitoring

Requirements

• Active Ohio RN license or a Compact RN license currently in hand
• Current AHA certifications required: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS
• Minimum of 2 years of Neuro ICU experience required
• 2 professional references required: at least 1 must be from a Manager, Director, or Supervisor; a Charge RN is acceptable as the second reference — co-worker references are not accepted
• Previous travel nursing experience preferred

Additional Information

• Local candidates are accepted at the same rate as travel candidates
• Former facility employees are eligible to apply after a minimum 6-month separation from the facility
• Requested time off (RTO) must be submitted at the time of application and is limited to 7 days or fewer for the contract period
• Ohio state fingerprinting is required and must be initiated promptly upon accepting the position — candidates outside Ohio may need to travel to an in-state fingerprinting location or complete a mailed fingerprinting packet upon receipt
