Description

American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for an Operating Room position at a Level 1 Trauma center in Ohio, requiring 2 years of OR experience and Epic proficiency.

Details

  • Level 1 Trauma hospital OR with 18 beds
  • Performs a wide variety of surgical cases including General, Robotic, Laparoscopic, Trauma, Orthopedic, Neurosurgery, Spinal, Ophthalmology, ENT, Plastics, Burns, Urology, GYN, and Transplant
  • Primary circulating focus on Orthopedic, Neurosurgery, Spine, and General Surgery cases
  • Variable shift position with days and evenings available; shifts may be 8-, 10-, or 12-hour increments
  • On-call required Monday–Friday 2100–0630, and Saturday–Sunday 0630–1900 and 1900–0630
  • Holiday and weekend coverage may be required based on unit needs
  • Epic EMR used for patient charting
  • Local candidates are accepted

Requirements

  • Active OH RN license or Compact RN license (must be active at time of consideration)
  • Current BLS certification required
  • Minimum 2 years of OR RN experience required
  • Level 1 Trauma center OR experience required
  • Epic EMR experience required
  • 2 professional references required: at least 1 must be from a Manager, Director, or formal leadership role (e.g., Supervisor); a Charge RN is acceptable as the second reference; co-worker references are not accepted
  • Preferred experience in ENT, GU, Plastics, and Burns

Additional Information

  • Circulating responsibilities with a focus on Orthopedic, Neurosurgery, Spine, and General Surgery cases
  • Candidates are required to complete Ohio state fingerprinting promptly upon accepting a contract; those outside Ohio must travel to an in-state fingerprinting location or complete a mailed fingerprinting packet as soon as possible upon receipt
  • Former employees of the facility are eligible for a travel assignment after a minimum 6-month separation
  • Requested time off (RTO) must be submitted at the time of consideration and is limited to 7 days or fewer for the contract period
