Description

American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Pain Management position in Santa Fe, NM, requiring experience in pain procedures, pre-op, OR, and PACU settings.

Details

• Outpatient/clinic setting focused on chronic pain management
• Pain procedure injections are typically performed in an OR setting
• Day shift schedule: 6:30 AM – 5:00 PM
• 4 days per week, 10-hour shifts
• Weekend availability required
• On-call requirement applies
• Floating to other units or locations required
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active RN license in New Mexico or a compact state license
• Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association (AHA)
• Minimum 1 year of RN experience in pain management or a related specialty
• Experience in pain procedures, pre-op, OR, and PACU required
• BSN preferred
• US Social Security Number required for consideration

Additional Information

• Provides routine and complex nursing care using the full nursing process: assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation
• Administers medications and treatments per protocol and monitors for side effects and effectiveness
• Addresses complex psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families
• Educates patients, family members, and caregivers and identifies appropriate resources
• Documents patient history, symptoms, medications, and care provided
