Description

American Traveler is hiring a travel Radiology Technologist (X-Ray) for a night shift position in a hospital radiology department, requiring 2+ years of experience and conscious sedation background.

Details

• Hospital radiology department in a 400-bed acute care facility in Kissimmee, FL
• Procedures include CT, ultrasound, general radiology, paracentesis/thoracentesis, biopsy, and patient assessment/workup/discharge
• Conscious sedation procedures are a regular part of the caseload
• Patient ratios vary depending on procedure
• Unit is staffed with 2 RNs and support personnel
• Documents on Meditech EMR
• 4x10-hour night shifts, 9:00 PM–7:30 AM, Monday through Thursday
• On-call requirements in addition to scheduled shifts
• Floating may be required based on skill set

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Radiology Technologist, with active experience within the last 6 months
• Experience in critical care and conscious sedation required
• Current BLS (AHA or ARC accepted) required — certifications must not expire within the first 30 days of the assignment start
• FL DOH license required if applicable
• US SSN and DOB required for consideration — no exceptions
• Two professional references required for Florida placements
• No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months

Additional Information

• Perform imaging procedures including CT, ultrasound, general X-ray, biopsies, and para/thoracentesis, as well as patient assessment and discharge duties
• Scrub colors are olive green and black
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible — local candidates will not be considered
