Description

American Traveler is seeking a Home Health Occupational Therapist with at least 1 year of skilled home health experience for a 13-week contract in the Hood River, OR area, with both OR and WA licensure required.

Details

  • Home health setting serving Hood River, OR and surrounding areas
  • Day shift, 5x8-hour schedule (8:00–16:30); 4x10 and 3x12 schedules cannot be accommodated
  • Caseload of up to 6 patients per day at a 1:1 ratio, with a standard of 30 productivity points
  • Patient diagnoses include dementia, Parkinson's, ALS, MS, orthopedic post-op, and post-stroke cases
  • Charting via Epic Remote Client for Home Health (laptop) and Rover phone app with OASIS documentation
  • No weekend or on-call requirements
  • Travelers may be expected to float between facilities within a given state

Requirements

  • Active OT license in both Oregon and Washington required; license required if applicable
  • Minimum 1 year of skilled home health experience required
  • Current BLS certification required
  • OASIS documentation experience required
  • Epic EMR experience required
  • Personal reliable transportation required
  • Minimum of 2 supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years in a comparable specialty or setting
  • SSN and DOB required for consideration

Additional Information

  • First-time travelers are welcome to apply
  • Local candidates are accepted; candidates residing within a 50–75 mile radius of the facility are considered local and are eligible at the same rate
  • Former permanent staff must wait at least 3 months before returning as a traveler and must not reside within 50 miles of the facility
  • Daily travel radius may occasionally reach up to 60 miles (approximately 60–90 minutes of total drive time), though the scheduling system groups clients to minimize windshield time
  • Business casual attire required; scrubs are allowed in any color but jeans are not permitted
  • Preferred skills include National Patient Safety Goals/Core Measures, billing, home health, OASIS documentation, and experience with acute and chronic disorders and functional activities
  • Minimal RTO is strongly preferred; requests should be submitted prior to or at the time of consideration, as post-offer RTO requests may be denied
  • Travelers who refuse floating assignments may be subject to termination of the assignment
