Description

American Traveler is seeking a licensed Physical Therapist with home health experience for a 13-week travel assignment providing geriatric home health care on a Monday–Friday day schedule.

Details

  • Home health setting serving a geriatric patient population
  • Covers a territory within a 50-mile radius of the hub/office
  • Average caseload of 5–7 patients per day
  • Day shift schedule, Monday–Friday, 8:30 AM–5:00 PM with a 30-minute lunch break
  • No on-call or weekend requirements
  • Uses HCHB as the EMR system; experience is required
  • Mileage between patient homes is reimbursed at the IRS standard rate

Requirements

  • Minimum 1 year of recent home health PT experience required
  • Active CA PT license required (pending licenses not accepted)
  • Current BLS certification required
  • Proficiency with HCHB EMR required
  • OASIS experience required
  • License required if applicable

Additional Information

  • First-time travelers will not be considered for this position
  • Local candidates are accepted at the travel rate
  • All time-off requests must be submitted at the time of initial consideration
  • 2 professional supervisory references from within the past 2 years required for consideration
  • Full 7-year work history with all gaps explained required for consideration

I couldn’t have asked for a better experience for my first travel assignment. American Traveler has made the entire process feel easy from start to finish. Whether it’s my recruiter, Amanda, or Iranna from payroll, I always get a quick response when I have a question. It’s nice working with a team that actually follows up and keeps you in the loop. Amanda has been awesome throughout my assignment. She checks in regularly with a call or text just to see how things are going and make sure I don’t need anything. That level of support has really stood out to me. I’m rly happy I chose American Traveler for my first assignment, and I wouldn’t hesitate to work with them again.
