Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced OR RN for a 13-week travel assignment at a busy Level II trauma center in Kyle, TX, with a minimum of 3 years of OR experience required.

Details

• Work setting is a hospital-based operating room at a Level II trauma center
• 8 OR suites within the Surgery unit
• Patient population includes surgical cases spanning orthopedics, trauma, general surgery, GYN, urology, and robotic-assisted procedures; vascular and CVOR experience is a strong plus
• Ancillary support includes PCTs, 3 supervisors, and team leads
• Shift: Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM
• No floating to other units required
• EMR: Cerner (experience required)

Requirements

• Active TX RN license or Compact RN license with TX as the issuing or home state, required prior to start
• BLS certification required (AHA or American Red Cross accepted)
• ACLS certification required (AHA or American Red Cross accepted)
• Minimum 3 years of OR RN experience required
• Diploma or degree from an accredited nursing school required
• US Social Security Number required
• Copy of Driver's License required for consideration
• Two professional references required
• Nursys license verification required within 30 days prior to start

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include both scrub and circulating functions throughout the perioperative process
• Duties include instrument and supply management, patient monitoring, documentation, physician assistance with hemostasis, suturing, wound exposure, and patient positioning
• OR room and equipment preparation is a standard part of the role
• Scrub color: sky blue
