Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Neuro ICU travel assignment in Ohio, requiring at least 2 years of Neuro ICU experience and proficiency with ventilators and intracranial pressure monitoring.

Details

• Neuro ICU setting within a large academic medical center
• Patient ratio of approximately 1:1-2
• Day/night rotation schedule working 3x12-hour shifts (7:00 AM–7:30 PM or 7:00 PM–7:30 AM)
• Shift rotation occurs every 4 weeks based on unit needs; final schedule confirmed by manager at interview
• Every other weekend required
• Floating required within units of equivalent or lower acuity
• Epic EMR; experience preferred
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active OH or Compact RN license required
• Required certifications (AHA-issued only): BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS)
• Minimum 2 years of Neuro ICU experience required
• Proficiency with IV starts, telemetry monitoring, ventilators, and intracranial pressure (ICP) monitoring
• 2 professional references required: at least 1 from a Manager, Director, or formal leadership role (e.g., Supervisor); a Charge RN is acceptable as the second reference; co-worker references are not accepted
• Previous travel nursing experience preferred

Additional Information

• Local candidates are accepted
• Former employees of the facility are eligible to apply after a minimum 6-month separation
• Requested time off (RTO) must be submitted at the time of consideration and is limited to 7 days or fewer for the contract
• Ohio state fingerprinting is required and must be initiated promptly after accepting an offer; candidates outside Ohio may need to travel to an in-state fingerprinting location or complete a mailed packet upon receipt
