Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced OR RN with strong multi-organ transplant experience for a travel position at a short-term acute care teaching hospital in Weston, FL.

Details

• Operating Room unit within a 230-bed short-term acute care teaching hospital
• Transplant-focused OR with liver, heart, lung, and kidney transplant cases; other OR cases covered when transplant cases are not scheduled
• Experience with organ implantation (recipient surgery) is essential — not just organ procurement/harvesting
• Day shift: 6:45 AM – 5:15 PM (4x10-hour shifts)
• On-call required: 1 shift per week and 2 twelve-hour weekend shifts per month
• Floating within scope required to meet facility needs
• Block scheduling is not available
• Charting via Epic EMR
• Free parking available in any unrestricted space

Requirements

• Active FL or Compact RN license required; pending license accepted
• Current AHA or American Red Cross BLS and ACLS required at time of consideration
• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification required prior to start
• Minimum 2 years of direct OR RN experience with liver/transplant cases required
• Strong demonstrated experience with liver, heart, lung, and kidney transplant procedures — must be reflected on skills checklist
• Proficiency with Misonix/CUSA equipment required
• Experience with organ implantation into recipient patients required (not solely procurement experience)
• Two professional references required for consideration
• PDF copies of driver's license and Social Security card required for consideration

• Candidates must be nicotine-free; a negative 10-panel drug screen plus nicotine (cotinine) test is required
• Time-sensitive onboarding modules must be completed promptly upon assignment confirmation

• Local candidates are accepted at the same rate
• All requested time off (RTO) must be submitted upfront; RTO requests added after submission are unlikely to be approved
• Travelers may not work more than 18 consecutive months across any Cleveland Clinic locations, and must wait a minimum of 6 months before beginning a new assignment at any Cleveland Clinic location
