Description

American Traveler is seeking a travel RN for a combined Med/Surg and eICU position requiring comfort with both patient populations and current ACLS and BLS certifications.

Details

• Hospital-based Med/Surg and eICU combined unit
• Day shift: three 12-hour shifts per week (6:30am–7:00pm)
• Every 4th weekend required
• Every other holiday rotation required
• Must be comfortable caring for both Med/Surg and eICU patients
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active WI RN license or compact license currently in hand
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• PALS encouraged
• Minimum two-year nursing degree required; BSN preferred
• Comfortable with both Med/Surg and eICU patient populations
• Intermediate computer proficiency required
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, with repetitive movement including pulling, pushing, reaching, and stooping
• DOB and SSN required for consideration

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include individualized patient assessment, care planning, medication administration (including IV therapy), and patient/family education
• Must respond appropriately to life-threatening situations per nursing standards and protocol
• Proficiency in EMR documentation and order verification required
• Strong communication, de-escalation, and problem-solving skills essential
• Collaborative care model with delegation to and coordination with other health team members
