Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Telemetry position in Sierra Vista, AZ, requiring at least 1 year of experience and telemetry skills on a night shift schedule.

Details

• Acute care Med/Surg unit in a 34-bed hospital setting
• Patient population includes geriatric, adult, and occasional pediatric patients (peds not assigned to travelers)
• Patient types include telemetry, surgical, and general medical cases
• Patient ratio of 6:1
• Equipment includes Alaris pumps, SCD machines, feeding tubes, and telemetry monitors
• Charting via Cerner EMR
• Night shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM, 3x12-hour shifts per week
• Every other weekend required
• On-call only when short-staffed
• Floating possible to cover inpatient holds

Requirements

• Active AZ or Compact RN license required
• Current AHA certifications: BLS and ACLS required
• Minimum 1 year of RN experience required for travel candidates
• Telemetry experience preferred
• Social Security number and date of birth required for consideration
• Must reside more than 60 miles from the facility to qualify for the travel pay rate

Additional Information

• Biweekly orientation schedule
• Scrubs in any color are acceptable; closed-toe shoes required
• Candidates must not have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months
• Candidates may not be employed full-time elsewhere during the assignment
• Hospital is located in Sierra Vista, AZ, 75 miles southeast of Tucson in the high desert of southeastern Arizona
