Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced Pre/Post-Op RN for a 13-week travel assignment at an outpatient orthopedic surgery center in Illinois, requiring a minimum of 3 years of experience and an active IL RN license.

Details

  • Outpatient orthopedic surgery center setting
  • Pre-Op and Post-Op (PACU) unit with an average daily census of 25 across a 5-room unit
  • Day shift schedule: 5x8 hours, 6:45 AM – 3:15 PM
  • Block scheduling can be accommodated
  • Floating within scope is required for all travelers, including to nearby affiliate facilities

Requirements

  • Active IL RN license required and must be in hand at time of consideration
  • Current BLS and ACLS certifications required; AHA and Red Cross accepted — RQI AHA cards are not accepted
  • Minimum 3 years of Pre/Post-Op RN experience required
  • SSN and DOB required for consideration

Additional Information

  • First-time travelers are welcome to apply
  • Local candidates are accepted for this position
  • RTO of up to 5 days is generally approvable; requests exceeding 5 days require facility approval
  • Candidates must be prepared to work 2 out of 3 major holidays
  • Former permanent or PRN employees of the Memorial Hospital System must have been separated for at least 12 months before being eligible to apply as a traveler
  • Travel pairs are not accepted for this assignment
