Description

American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for an Operating Room position at a Level 1 Trauma center in Ohio, requiring 2 years of OR experience and Epic proficiency.

Details

• 18-bed Operating Room within a Level 1 Trauma hospital setting
• Surgical specialties include General, Robotic, Laparoscopic, Trauma, Orthopedic, Neurosurgery, Spinal, Ophthalmology, ENT, Plastics, Burns, Urology, GYN, and Transplant
• Primary circulating duties with a focus on Orthopedic, Neurosurgery, Spine, and General Surgery cases
• Variable shift position with days/evenings available; shifts may be 8, 10, or 12 hours
• On-call required Monday–Friday 2100–0630, and Saturday–Sunday 0630–1900 and 1900–0630
• Holiday and weekend coverage may be required based on unit needs
• Epic EMR used for patient charting

Requirements

• Active OH or Compact RN license required, must be active at time of consideration
• Current BLS (BCLS) certification required
• Minimum 2 years of OR RN experience required
• Level 1 Trauma center experience required
• Epic experience required
• 2 professional references required: at least 1 must be from a Manager, Director, or Supervisor; a Charge RN is acceptable as the second reference; no coworker references accepted

Additional Information

• Preferred experience in ENT, GU, Plastics, and Burns
• All candidates must complete Ohio state fingerprinting promptly upon booking; candidates outside Ohio will need to travel to an Ohio fingerprinting location or will be mailed a fingerprinting packet to complete urgently
• Former employees of the facility are eligible for a travel assignment after a 6-month separation period
• RTO must be requested at time of consideration and is limited to 7 days or fewer for the contract period
• Local candidates are accepted at the same rate as travelers
• Multiple parking permit options are available for purchase through CampusParc, ranging from on-site garage access to budget surface lot options with shuttle service to the medical center
