Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a night shift Med/Surg position at a Level II Trauma acute care facility in Winchester, TN, requiring a TN or Compact RN license and AHA certifications.

Details

• Medical-Surgical unit (44 beds) at a 198-bed acute and skilled care facility with Level II Trauma designation
• Patient population includes all ages across a combined medical-surgical unit
• Patient ratio of 1:6
• Night shift schedule: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
• Every other weekend required
• 36 hours per week
• On-call responsibilities as needed; must be able to arrive at the facility within 30 minutes to 1 hour if called in
• Floating required on an as-needed basis
• EMR: Meditech
• 13-week contract in Winchester, TN

Requirements

• Active RN license valid in Tennessee (TN state license or Compact license) required
• Minimum 2 years of Med/Surg RN experience required
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, and HWC — all must be AHA-issued and in hand prior to start
• Social Security number and date of birth required for consideration
• Candidate's permanent address must be 60 or more miles from the facility to qualify for the travel rate

Additional Information

• Orientation takes place on Mondays
• Any color scrubs are acceptable; casual wear and hoodies are not permitted
• Candidates who have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months are not eligible
• Candidates who are currently employed full-time elsewhere are not eligible
