Description
American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Medical/Surgical position on a Dedicated Education Unit, requiring at least 2 years of experience and every-other-weekend availability.
Details
- Hospital Medical/Surgical unit setting
- Assigned to 2 East, a 22-bed Dedicated Education Unit (Rooms 201-220) focused on training new graduate nurses in foundational clinical skills
- Patient ratio of 1:6
- Day shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM
- Every-other-weekend (EOW) requirement
- Floating to other units is expected at times
Requirements
- Active VA or Compact RN license currently in hand (pending licenses not accepted)
- Current BLS certification required
- Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
- Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible for this position
Additional Information
- Nurses on this unit serve as highly engaged preceptors supporting new graduate nurses during the early stages of their orientation
- Holiday coverage policy: if one holiday falls within the assignment, expect to work it; if two holidays fall within the assignment, expect to work one; if three, expect to work two
- Any requested time off (RTO) must be disclosed upfront prior to acceptance
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply
