Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg position in Iowa, requiring a minimum of 2 years of acute care experience and an active IA or compact RN license.

Details

• Day shift position with varied hours from 6:00 AM to 6:30 PM
• 13-week contract
• Requires working every 6th weekend
• Medical/Surgical patient population in a hospital setting

Requirements

• Active Iowa (or compact) RN license currently in hand
• Minimum 2 years of acute care experience required
• BLS (Healthcare Provider) certification required
• ACLS certification preferred
• Must complete Mandatory Abuse Reporter Certification within 6 months of hire
• Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English proficiently

Additional Information

• Provides direct patient care under limited supervision, including administering medications and IV solutions
• Plans, organizes, and directs nursing functions for Med/Surg patients, including developing and modifying individualized plans of care
• Maintains accurate and timely documentation in the patient record
• Collaborates with physicians, nursing staff, and other departments to ensure continuity of care and effective communication of patient needs
• Supports and enforces infection control policies and procedures
• Participates in orientation and in-service training as required
• Holiday and weekend rotation coverage required as scheduled
• DOB and SSN may be required for consideration
