Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery (Antepartum) position at an acute care hospital in Rutherfordton, NC, requiring 3 years of L&D experience with charge experience and multiple OB-specific certifications.

Details

• Women's Services unit (Antepartum) at a 143-bed acute care facility
• Unit includes 3 LDR rooms, 4 triage rooms, 2 antepartum rooms, and 10 postpartum/Gyn/Peds rooms
• Patient population includes maternal, newborn, adult, geriatric, and pediatric patients
• Specialty coverage spans Labor & Delivery, Mother/Baby, Peds, and Gyn
• Patient ratios are acuity-based
• Philips fetal monitors with OB Trave Vue are used on the unit
• EMR: Meditech
• Day shift: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM
• 36 hours per week
• Every 3rd weekend required
• No on-call requirements
• Floating is required

Requirements

• Active NC RN license or compact RN license currently in hand
• Required certifications (AHA): BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP, STABLE, and AWHONN Fetal Monitoring — all must be obtained prior to start
• Minimum 3 years of L&D experience required; charge experience is needed
• Experience in Mother/Baby, Peds, and Gyn required
• Social Security number and date of birth required for consideration

Additional Information

• 13-week contract
• Candidates must reside more than 60 miles from the facility to qualify for the travel rate
• Candidates who have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months are not eligible
• Candidates cannot be employed full time elsewhere during the assignment
• No scrub color preference; professional dress per HR policy required
• Orientation dates are scheduled bi-monthly throughout the year
